Pizza Layouts are small model train layouts, typically circular or compact setups, which are great for a variety of reasons, depending on what you’re looking for in the hobby. Their modest (Ok, small) size makes them perfect for people with limited space. Set one up on a coffee or small side table, tinker with it, and pack it away or even hang on a wall if needed, no basement empire required.
I’ve been a fan of Pizza layouts for years, going back to a beautiful Nn3 scale Pizza layout article we did on our Raildig.com website over decade ago! You can read that article here: Mark Fielder’s Nn3 scale Pizza.

Finally, who couldn’t use a bit more quirky charm and a challenge? With such a tight footprint in your Pizza Layout, you’ve got to think hard about track design, scenery and storytelling. Every inch counts, so you end up with something dense and detailed, a little world in miniature. What’s not to like?
