I think the great thing about a Pizza Layout is, well, there are a lot of great aspects to Pizzas but one that stands out is completion. So many layouts are started with the BIG layout in mind, and that’s terrific, I love large layouts too. But I’ve seen an awful lot of the bigger projects that get off to a great start but then life kind of gets in the way and the large layout builds can get stalled for years, if not forever.
Pizza Layouts on the other hand can give you a sense of completion in a very short time to just get a train running. There really is something to that, hearing and seeing a train running. Sure, you can call it finished then and there with a little ground cover or… you could take weeks, months or more super-detailing your Pizza.
Don’t have an extra free room for your layout? When you’re done working on your layout for the day, you can sit it on a shelf or one of my favorite things, hang it on a wall!
Of course you don’t have to build a Pizza Layout instead of a larger, conventional layout, you can build both at the same time, even using the Pizza Layout as a test platform for different scenery techniques.
